Privacy Policy
Last Updated: February 18, 2026
This privacy policy describes how TubeCMS Demo ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit https://demo.tubecms.app. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
Who We Are
TubeCMS Demo is operated by the site owner, contactable at [email protected]. Our website is accessible at https://demo.tubecms.app.
This site is hosted on TubeCMS. TubeCMS (and its infrastructure providers, such as Microsoft Azure and Cloudflare) process personal data on our behalf to provide hosting, security, and site features. We remain the primary point of contact for any privacy-related inquiries.
Information We Collect
Analytics Data
We collect analytics data to understand how visitors use our website. This includes:
- Page views: Which pages are visited and when (including blog posts when enabled)
- Referrer information: The domain (not the full URL) of the website that referred you (e.g., "google.com" not the full search query)
- Device type: Whether you're using a desktop, mobile, or tablet device
- Browser and operating system: Detected from your user agent string (e.g., "Chrome on Windows")
- Video clicks: Which videos are clicked on our site and the page they were clicked from
- Link in Bio clicks: If our Link in Bio page is enabled, we record which links are clicked and the referring domain
- Merch clicks: If our merch store is enabled, we record which products are clicked and the page they were clicked from
- Geographic location: Country and city, derived from your IP address at the time of your visit. Your IP address is used only to determine your location and to generate a privacy-friendly session identifier (see below) — it is not stored in our analytics database
Session Tracking
To understand how visitors navigate our site (such as which page they entered on), we create a privacy-friendly session identifier. This is a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address and browser information, combined with a daily-rotating salt. This means:
- We can count unique visitors and track page-to-page navigation within a single day
- The identifier changes every day at midnight UTC, so we cannot track you across multiple days
- The identifier is designed not to directly identify you and cannot practically be reversed to reveal your IP address
We do not use cookies or persistent identifiers to track you across websites. Our session identifier resets daily.
Server Logs
Like most websites, our web server and infrastructure providers automatically record standard access logs. These logs may include:
- Your IP address
- The pages you visited
- The date and time of your visit
- Your browser type and operating system
- Referrer information
Server logs are used for security monitoring, troubleshooting, and understanding general usage patterns. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days, then automatically deleted.
Contact Form Submissions
When you use our contact form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your message content
This information is stored securely and used only to respond to your inquiry.
Cookies
We do not use cookies for analytics or tracking purposes.
The cookies used on this website are:
Authentication cookies (administrators only):
- Only set when an administrator logs in
- Necessary for the website to function securely
- Do not track visitors or collect personal data
Cloudflare security cookies:
- We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our contact form from spam. Turnstile is designed to work without cookies, however Cloudflare security features may set strictly necessary cookies (for example, bot or challenge clearance cookies) when enabled or triggered to protect against abuse
- These are strictly necessary security cookies and do not track you across websites
- For more information, see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy
How We Use Your Information and Lawful Basis
We use the information we collect to:
- Understand which content is popular on our site
- Improve our website and content based on usage patterns
- Respond to your contact form inquiries
- Ensure the security and proper operation of our website
We process analytics and security data on the basis of our legitimate interests in running, protecting, and improving the site. We process contact form submissions to respond to your request and manage our correspondence.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data Retention
- Analytics data: Raw page view records (which do not contain IP addresses) are automatically deleted after 30 days. Click records (video, link, and merch clicks) do not contain IP addresses or personal data and are retained indefinitely for aggregate reporting. Aggregated daily statistics are kept indefinitely.
- Server logs: Retained for up to 30 days for security and troubleshooting purposes, then automatically deleted.
- Contact form submissions: Kept until we respond to your inquiry, then deleted unless there is an ongoing conversation.
